Preposition With Diagram

In this diagram we see about all types of preposition which are used so highly. Before beginning discussion,I take the whole diagram as an object. So I can tell that its not a preposition diagram! So its an object.lets start.

On :When upper side touch with something then as usually used preposition On.For clarifying some example are given below.
The book on the table.
The pen on the table.
Rahim sit on the bed.
The chair is on the floor.
Please sincerely follow one simple thing, main content always touch the object.See,here book and pen are main content and table and bed are object. So finally summarizeing, something will locate high and touch something.

Above/Over : If something does not touch the object and its located more higher than “on”,there can be used two preposition. One is preposition “above” and another is preposition “over”.Now I show the difference between above and over.Lets see.
In according to Over, when something located high and that would be dynamic or mobile, there should be used preposition “over”.
The boy jumped over the wall.
On the other hand according to Above, when something located high more than preposition on and that would be mentioned stopped or paused thing, there should be used preposition above.
The light is hanging above my head.

Under/Beneth : If something locates below, there should use preposition under or beneth. Its so easy and common to all.
The jug is kept under my bed.
A pair of shoes kept under table.

Beside/By :When something or people or anything mentions closest distance, there can be used preposition beside or by.Some examples has shown in below.
The boy is sitting beside me.
The cottage built by the sea.

Up/Down : When something locates high, there used preposition up and when means locate low or lower then used preposition down. Its simple.
The rocks rolled down the mountain.
Put your hand up.

Through/Across/Into : If something goes in the object, then three preposition can be used.Through,Across and Into.
The boy run across the field.
He ran into the room.
The boy ran through the school field.

In/At : Preposition “In and At” is look like through, across and into but its not same.Beacuse when something circled by object, then used in/at.A little difference between at and in.Before big thing, used in and before small thing used at.Thats clear!
He is in the class.
I live at Dhaka in Bangladesh.
He lives in Dhaka at Cantonment.

Around : When something is surrounded by whole object then used around.
The fence is around the field.

Between/Among :When something compare or divided only two people then used between. On the other hand, compare and divided with many people then used preposition among.
The cake divided between two boys.
The cake divided among five or six people.

From/To :When anything or anyone start a journey then in the beginning place taken preposition from and ending place taken preposition to.
I will go to Dhaka from Rajshahi.

Toward/Towards :Towards American style and toward british style.Preposition toward will sit in the straight and definite destination. Its also means definite place too.
I went toward school.

Since/For : To denote definite year, have to use preposition since. Some examples has given below.
I have been working since 2000.
On the other hand To denote definite time, then used preposition for.
Tania have been working for ten years.
